'A Lifelong Thing': Marshmallow's Pierson Fode & Kai Cech Talk On-Set Friendships
The horror movie Marshmallow appears to be an archetypal summer camp horror movie. Troubled introvert Morgan, played by Kue Lawrence, isn't too happy about going to camp, following his many nightmares about a near-drowning experience. But he finds himself making friends and learning to trust the camp counselors -- only to stumble upon a secret that is far darker, twisted and closer to home than they could have ever expected.
In this interview with CBR, stars Pierson Fode (who plays counselor Kazswar) and Kai Cech (who portrays Morgan's new friend Pilar) share their experiences shooting Marshmallow at an actual Kentucky campsite. They also talk about the on-set friendships that they built during the making of the film. Plus, how much did their past horror roles apply to this particular scary tale?
