Filmmakers Justine Pimlott and Nicole Bazuin will be recognized at this year’s DOC Institute Honours Awards.

Organized by the DOC Institute, the Ontario chapter of the Documentary Organization of Canada, the annual honors presents two awards — the Rogers-DOC Luminary Award and the DOC Vanguard Award — to exceptional members of the Canadian documentary industry, as determined by a jury of their peers. This year’s jury consisted of the awards’ 2024 honourees Ed Barreveld and Jules Arita Koostachin, alongside Hot Docs and TIFF programmer Aisha Jamal.
