Guy Pearce's New Crime Film Already Boasts the Best Rotten Tomatoes Score of His Career
Earlier this year, Hollywood veteran Guy Pearce earned a much-deserved Academy Award nomination for his portrayal of the seedy industrialist Harrison Lee Van Buren in Brady Corbet's The Brutalist. Although, unlike co-star Adrien Brody, Pearce didn't walk away with a Golden Statue, the Aussie actor still received heaps of praise for his performance. However, to some, this wasn't even his best from within the last year, with that coming in Charles Williams' feature-length debut, Inside, in which he stars alongside Shōgun's Cosmo Jarvis.
After premiering at the 2024 Melbourne International Film Festival and then releasing in Australian theaters on February 27, 2025, Inside is set to finally make its US theatrical debut this Friday, June 20. Ahead of the release, glowing critical reviews continue to pour in, with the film now officially holding the coveted perfect 100% rating on review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes. From just 17 reviews to date, a US theatrical release will likely change that score, with perfection almost impossible to uphold. But, after 17 reviews, to boast such a score is indicative of a must-see movie that IndieWire dubbed "so replete with such moments of raw compassion that it almost invisibly accumulates a deep well of emotion."
