Ridley Scott and Paul Feig Unite for a Tale of Love and Survival With New '55' Poster

Survival instinct clashes with moral obligation in Shyam P. Madiraju’s upcoming feature, 55. Today, Collider is thrilled to share a first-look poster of the drama set to unfold when the Ridley Scott and Paul Feig-produced film arrives in cinemas on August 29. Starring Emraan Hashmi (Once Upon a Time in Mumbai) and Rizwan Shaikh (Main Monica), the Indian-language film centers around a young pickpocket known only to the world as 55. Marked with a tattoo of the number on his arm, the permanent ink reminds the boy that his life is owed to his boss and that his days are to be filled with pulling small street heists and stealing from those who least expect it. After living the high life for a while and celebrating his particular set of skills, the thief is ultimately put on a crash course with fate when he begins to fall for the daughter of one of his victims.

In a Collider-exclusive quote, Scott said of the film:

“55 is simple, personal and beautiful. The way a good film should be.”
