Filmmaker Spike Lee is known for his distinctive style, which seamlessly blends social commentary with crime and entertainment. However, his upcoming project, Last Ride, is nothing like that.

The upcoming survival thriller, which is headed to digital on Feb. 20, doesn't hold the mark of his usual projects for a good reason: the filmmaker isn't helming it. Instead, he is producing, as his younger Cinqué Lee took the spotlight as writer and director.
